St Patrick’s Day 2023 – Brighton date announced
The Pogue Traders will be joined by Dizzy Lizzy for a St Patrick’s day gig in Brighton’s Concorde 2 on Friday 17 Mar 2023.
Tickets are now on sale online via the venue’s website – here. Doors open at 6:30pm and it’s going to be a long night.

The evening also features an hour-long Q&A with Shane MacGowan’s official biographer Richard Balls discussing his recent book ‘A Furious Devotion: The Life of Shane MacGowan‘ with Maeve Murphy, award-winning Director and author of “Christmas At The Cross“. Both will be in conversaton.
Pogue Traders headline 40 years of The Pogues celebration
On the 4th October 1982, a new group, originally known as Pogue Mahone played their first gig. James Fearnley, Shane MacGowan, Spider Stacy and Jem Finer took the stage at The Pindar of Wakefield (now known as The Water Rats) in London’s Kings Cross.
40 years later, to the day, the UK’s leading Pogues tribute band The Pogue Traders are returning to the same venue for a wider celebration of the band’s music and their impact on the world’s music scene. Tickets are now on sale here.
The evening’s celebrations will open with an hour-long Q&A with Shane MacGowan’s official biographer Richard Balls discussing his recent book ‘A Furious Devotion: The Life of Shane MacGowan‘ with Maeve Murphy, award-winning Director and author of “Christmas At The Cross“. Both will be “In Conversation”. Their books will be available to buy and get signed as well !
Supporting The Pogue Traders for the night is from Paul ‘Mad Dog’ McGuinness And Band who toured with Shane MacGowan for almost a decade as a founder member of The Popes.

Rescheduled Camden Town date confirmed
The Pogue Traders Xmas show at the Dublin Castle was postponed at short notice due to illnesses – the rescheduled date has been confirmed for Saturday 26th February. Please note, this is an afternoon show and doors will be open from 2.30pm. You can get your tickets here.

St Patrick’s Day 2022 – London gig confirmed
We can now confirm that The Pogue Traders will be playing the Half Moon in Putney on Thursday the 17th March (tickets here) before thumbing a lift to Glasgow for an appearance at McChuills the following Saturday (19th March) – tickets here.

We’re back! Pogue Traders gigs Winter 2021 / Spring 2022
The Pogue Traders are back after a long Covid-19 layoff!
After about 18 months, we finally got back together last Saturday night (28th August) to play outdoors at a private party. It felt fantastic – like a family reunion.
And we are now ready to announce a bunch of dates for the end of 2021, and early 2022. See you at the bar!
